Preserve Buffalo Creek Reserve

Hunters Hill Council want to hand over our well loved public park to the AFL!

What has been proposed

The council have been working with the AFL on a plan to remove the much loved children’s bike track and playground. This will make way for a much larger car park , pavillion, pickleball court, and fitness stations. The play area will be greatly reduced.

The AFL shocked many with how they described the park:

It’s a pretty sad and lonely place

They will also be doubling the size of the current oval. In order to do this they will need to remove a large number of trees, and build up the natural slopes with retaining walls.

The bike track that surrounds the oval will no longer be an exciting adventure for young cyclists, but a path surrounding the oval with no trees and no adventure.
